Steel section screening

Workflow

Supports simply supported and cantilever prismatic beams with downward point loads and UDLs. Section screening uses elastic strong-axis bending and deflection.

Important limitations

This is not a complete Eurocode member check. Shear resistance, section class, lateral-torsional buckling, instability, local effects, load combinations and connection design are not included.
